Urban Solace Everywhere!

Either great minds think alike, or we San Diego foodies are a bunch of copycats! I have counted no fewer than four writeups on this place in various media outlets this week - and surely the UT and Naomi Wise aren't far behind.

Here's mine , Citybeat's, Gil at What We Dig's, and Paul at SD Urban's. There is even a hot Chowhound thread here and the Yelpers are all over it as well.

I have noticed this a couple of times lately - notably with Bleu Boheme and Jayne's - everyone running to check out the latest place and get their two cents in. It's good to see local places garnering buzz, but there's also something mercenary about it - I can't quite put my finger on it. Hopefully though, in the long run it's good for the local food scene!

Yes, it is very strange, I'm itching to try that lobster pot pie, but unfortunately it will have to wait until after thanksgiving. Its pretty tough getting my husband east of the 163 so it will have to be good on first trip too!

Jenny - that's funny, it's hard for me to get my husband WEST of the 805! I hope you like it, it seems to be a popular place!

Cookiecrumb - That's cool - my in laws live up there, so we go out up there occasionally too. It's a bummer that Asia Vous closed!
